Look for belted padded coats, that go below the knee. They will give you the classic, sophisticated look of a coat while still being warmer than most traditional winter coats. They pair well with all kinds of boots, from combat boots to thigh-high boots, and they can keep you warm during your morning commute to work, or your Friday girls night out.

Faux Fur Coat

If you don’t already have a faux fur coat in your wardrobe, then what are you doing? These coats are ideal for those occasions when you want to be a little extra dressed up, and a good-quality faux fur coat can last you for years. If you want to keep things classy and simple, choose a black coat. However, if you want to make more of a statement, then opt for lighter colors or even a colorful option. If you otherwise prefer to go for neutral-colored outfits, then a colorful faux fur coat can be that little extra something to upgrade your winter looks.

Shacket

If you thought that shackets were only there for a fun time, and not for a long time, then you were totally wrong. Because these shirt-jacket hybrids are trending this year as well! While shackets won’t be the most sophisticated clothing item in your winter wardrobe, they are a great clothing piece for layering. You can wear them underneath your jacket, and wrap yourself up in them while you are working in your office. They are comfortable, easy to style and give your outfit a bit of that “Hallmark Christmas movie” vibe.
