Spring is here, and with spring also comes the rainy day season. I have to be honest – I enjoy rain more than the average person. It just gives me this internal coziness. But the one thing I don’t particularly enjoy is going out in the rain. I know that I’ll get wet and messy, and that my hair will end up looking hideous. But there are ways to combat that. If you’re on the hunt for the best rainy day outfit ideas for this spring season, here are our recommendations. 

Add a pop of color

Rainy April days can feel so gray. So why not a little bit of color to your outfit? For practical reasons, I would opt for a colorful accessory. Therefore you don’t have to worry about it getting wet. The ‘Barbiecore’ trend couldn’t be more in style, so why not add something hot pink to your look? A bag, belt, or maybe even a Barbie umbrella. This will make your outfit stand out, and it will also add spring vibes to any basic pieces that you may choose.

Why not embrace that amateur detective look? You can also combine it with items such as rain boots, cozy cardigans, and berets. Faux leather jackets are another great piece to add to your spring wardrobe. Either the classic biker jacket or a black leather cardigan. They will keep you dry and trendy at the same time. 

Knee-high boots and feminine dresses

If you want to wear your spring floral dresses, but the rain just keeps on pouring, then try combining them with a pair of rain-proof, knee-high boots. This will balance the feminine and masculine aspects of your look, and it will also keep your legs dry. Just put a leather jacket on top, and you are good to go. If the temperatures are still low, you can also add some additional layers like knitted cardigans or vests.
