I know — technically speaking, it’s still winter. Depending on where you live, you still have to deal with a lot of snowfall, and the temperatures are freezing too. We are stuck in our winter boots and heavy coats. However, the moment when the clock strikes midnight on December 31st, I start feeling excited about spring. It’s just one of my favorite seasons. Everything starts to bloom, the days are getting longer, and you can finally enjoy your time outside. By the middle of January, I’m already over my winter manicures. I don’t want red, glitter, or snowflakes on my nails. Instead, I’m starting to daydream about the pretty pastels that I’m going to get around Easter. Spring manicures might even be my favorite. There are so many different options to explore. So if you need something to get you excited for spring, here are some manicure ideas that I’m excited to try.

Hippie nails

Is there anything that screams spring more than a bunch of smiley faces, rainbows, and flowers? These are the exact elements of any “hippie” manicure. 

If you want a hippie manicure, ask your nail technician for a base of differently colored pastel nails. You can opt for yellow, blue, or orange. Then, on top of the nails, ask for nail art in the form of small, abstract flowers, old-school smiley faces, and other elements such as peace signs, rainbows, or suns. 

Strawberry nails

The strawberry print trend has been huge in recent years. So why not add it to your nails as well? Ask your nail tech for a nude base, with bright red strawberries and green details. You can also do a set of red nails, with just one strawberry accent nail. If your salon has them available, you can also ask for strawberry stickers.

Pastel French manicure 

This is a classic springtime manicure. However, there are ways to make it a bit more fun. First of all, by choosing differently colored tips. Instead of a pastel blue tip French manicure, why not do each nail in a different shade?

Besides that, you can also add other elements to this manicure. Like small flowers, little gems, or foils. You can also ask your nail technician for cute stickers, like butterflies or clouds. Your nails will look feminine and soft while still remaining playful.

Daisies 

Daisies are adorable. So who wouldn’t want a daisy manicure? You can play with this concept in different ways. You can paint your nails in yellow, white, and green, and just add one accent nail with daisies drawn on it. Or you can be a bit more minimalistic, and add some smaller daisies on a set of nude nails. Either way, you will end up with a cute-looking manicure.
