Who loves getting dedicated manicures according to different seasons and holidays? Well, I know that I do. And with fall finally being here, I couldn’t be more excited to try out all of the upcoming nail trends. I could scroll for hours on Pinterest looking for nail inspiration and getting excited about my nail appointment. But if that isn’t you, I’m here to share with you the biggest fall nail trends of 2022.
If you were on TikTok these last couple of weeks, then you couldn’t help but notice the Hailey Bieber nail trend. This is a pearly iridescent mani, achieved by applying a light neutral gel base coat and topping it with a chrome powder. This look has gained major popularity because it is so simple and universally flattering. It’s different than people’s usual chrome nails since the base color is see-through and natural.
If you want to enhance your nail game but you are also hesitant to explore new trends, a tinge of metallic is the perfect solution. Using foils is a fun and hassle-free way to glam up a simple manicure. For a colorful splash, apply foil over any neutral fall color. Or you can use rose gold or yellow gold foil for a soft accent on neutral-colored nails. This will also beautifully complement any rings or other jewelry that you may be wearing.
French-tip nails have made a huge comeback. And I couldn’t be happier about it! To say it in the words of Elle Woods, “Never underestimate a girl with a French manicure.” This style suits pretty much any nail length, shape, and skin color. It will go with all of your outfits, and it won’t be as noticeable when your nails start to grow. I love getting a French manicure whenever I know that I will have a busy month. They look good no matter what, and you can get away with wearing them for three weeks with no problem.
Since the ’90s are making a comeback in both beauty and fashion, it seems natural that gloomy grunge tones are making a comeback on our nails too. Grunge colors include browns, taupes, and neutrals. It’s all about cool tones and square-shaped nails. You can also ask your nail technician for grunge nail art like moon shapes, flames, stars, or abstract doodles.
If you aren’t into nail art and just want one solid color for the fall season, then go for a rich plum! It looks great on fair and darker skin tones, and it matches the season so well. In addition to that, dark colors like plum look equally as beautiful on long and short nails. If you aren’t about gel polish, there are plenty of fall nail polish collections coming out that feature this color. Just make sure that you also use a top coat, for that extra shine and longevity to your manicure.
