Tips for Naturally Healthy Hair: This is as Simple as It Gets

Our hair is the crown we never take off. It is one of the gifted possessions that we love with all our hearts.

What we also love is experimenting with our hair. From dyeing it different colors to completely changing its style, our hair goes through a lot.

Most of these hair experiments, paired with our hectic lives, have a tendency of leaving the hair dry and brittle and generally unhealthy. Not everyone can spare enough time or money to go for expensive spa treatments every week. It’s also important to point out that these treatments are not always effective.

Luckily enough, hair can be repaired and restored to its original state with time and patience. To begin with the healing process, here are some foolproof tricks that anyone can implement to have naturally healthy locks!

1. Wash, Condition, Mask

The frequency of shampooing your hair greatly depends on your hair type. If you have fine hair you may need to wash it as often as once a day. Thicker hair on the other hand may need to be washed every 3 days. There is literally no hard and fast rule. The whole idea behind shampooing is to keep your hair clean. However, make sure that you use a shampoo that is made for your hair type.

While shampoo is strictly for the scalp, conditioner is for the hair. do not skip on conditioner if you dream of luscious locks. This might seem tedious, but your hair needs all the nourishment that a conditioner provides.

Once a week – use a hair mask on your hair. You can brew one in your kitchen or go for a store-bought one. Hair masks make all the difference in the world.

2. Restrain from Heated Hairstyling

Everybody loves styling their hair. Whether it is blowdrying, straightening or curling, most of us use heated hair tools on a daily basis. However, heat damages our hair way more than we realize.

Try minimizing the usage of heat as much as you can to limit the damage. It might seem hard to go this route, but it’s one of the most effective ones for naturally healthy hair.

Instead of relying on heat tools, you can always implement hair hacks for heat-less styling, and serums for a natural shine.

3. Trimming

Trimming our hair can feel heartbreaking. But it’s the pain of victory, nevertheless.

Holding on to those split ends is only going to make you go bald much faster. Getting regular hair trims is a consistent way of ensuring hair health. When the hair is cut, we get rid of the split ends which makes the ends look thin and unhealthy. Not to forget, hair cuts give hair the bounce and volume that we all crave!

4. Eating Healthy

Yes, we are aware that this point occurs in most of our articles. Because it is crucial, of course!

As cliche as it may be, this is one foolproof way to ensure you have healthy hair. A good diet means you have all or most of the nourishment that your hair requires from the inside. No matter how many lotions or potions and shampoos or conditioners you splurge on. If your hair doesn’t have the minerals, vitamins, and macronutrients it requires to sustain itself, all will go to waste.
